This Model 1842 Austrian percussion musket was one of thousands imported at the start of the civil war. The fulll length 3 band dark wood stock has good color and is in good condition. The full length smooth bore approximately 70 caliber barrel has a bayonet lug present. All metal parts have a dark brown patina. The only visible markings are in the stock behind the trigger guard (see photos). The musket is complete with bayonet but is missing the top sling swivel. The lock is in working condition.
