This appears to be a Civil war era musket. The 58 caliber barrel is 33 inches, has front and rear site and appears to be from model 1841 Mississippi rifle and has good rifling. The functioning lock markings are difficult to read but appears to read W C & co., FUSK , 185 ? The walnut stock is 2 band and the rifle is 49 inches in length. All metal parts have a brown patina.
