Description:
SPECIAL ORDER 1873, 2" EXTRA LONG 26" OCT. BARREL WITH SET TRIGGER, #361XXX, MADE 1890. This one has been so expertly re-lined that it is very difficult to detect at the muzzle. Perfect bore, 2" longer than standard barrel is scarce as is the single set trigger that functions perfectly and has the adjustment screw intact. Overall the receiver and barrel blue has thinned to where it is mostly gray/brown with some good blue in protected areas and on the loading gate. Dust cover intact, original buckhorn rear sight with Winchester small blade front sight. Fine action with strong safety half-cock and mellow uncleaned brass lifter that is marked .32 CAL. Correct butt stock with no provision for trap door for cleaning rod (.32-20s don't have this like the .38-40 and .44-40 which do). Fine markings. Overall a scarce 1873 with a now perfect bore.
