Superb and incredibly rare Model 70 Super Grade FEATHERWEIGHT in 243 Caliber!
S/N 399068 with a matching scribed bolt made in 1957.
This is the absolute rarest style of ANY Model 70 ever produced, with only 930 made in the 4 cataloged calibers. This one is in the 243 Win. caliber which accounted for only 260 of that total, and would have to be considered among the very finest of the few.
This amazing rifle has all the right "stuff" and is guaranteed to be 100% genuine in every regard.
Showing 99% original finishes throughout, with exception of the rather fragile aluminum floorplate anodization which shows a bit more wear. The aluminum trigger guard and buttplate remain in nearly perfect condition.
Correct and original SUPER underbarrel stamping, 22" factory rust blued barrel, jeweled action components, Redfield 255 front sight, proper detachable swivels, etc.
Excellent bore and mechanical functions of course.
