Description:
Quality Hardware subcontracted a portion of their receiver production to Union Switch & Signal. They produced approx. 29,000 receivers marked "UN-QUALITY" in the 3rd block of production between October of 1943 and March of 1944. Original Un-Quality marked carbines that have not been messed with are the rarest of all full production carbines and are prized by collectors. Very few of these rifles have survived as they were originally manufactured. An expert would have to determine if this is all original but it does have the following - a Winchester barrel (used from late 1943 to the end of production) with a long barrel skirt, fabricated front sight marked "PO Q", low wood stock marked "HQ" (extremely small amount of low wood stocks appear in February and March of 1944). This example comes with one magazine. Finish is very good with stock still having visible ordnance markings. .30 Carbine
