Offered for sale is a fine example of a 1st year prewar Super 38. This pistol is original finish. Shipped to a Houston Texas in July of 1929. At some point the owner sent it to KING Gun Sight Company in San Franciso and had the company's top of the line sights installed. Fully adjustable rear sight with a mirror reflector installed in the slide. This was a very costly option back in the day. The action is quite crisp so I assume KING did an accuracy job on it as well. The trigger breaks clean at 4.5 pounds. Stock trigger pulls on the large autos is usually over 5 lbs. The pistol has 28 row prewar walnut grips and a minty two tone magazine. The bore is good. The barrel is properly unmarked for a 1st year gun. Overall a very clean example of a very rare custom prewar 1st year Super 38.
