Description: ***  SOLD  ***  SOLD  ***  "Collector grade" is this engraved high grade Hollenbeck Gun Company, Wheeling W VA drilling in 12 gauge x 32-40 with 28" "stars & stripes" damascus steel full choke barrels, an oustanding example of early American craftsmanship at it's best, serial #16, made in 1901, which was the first year of production. This beautiful all original Hollenbeck drilling with it's high grain oil finished wood, gorgeous damascus barrels and well executed special engraving on the receiver, with a setter on the left and a pointer on the right, engraved forearm and engraved trigger guard, used to introduce this drilling to the firearms market in 1901, It has all matching parts remains in excellent plus condition having a tight action on face, with pitting free shiny bores with minimum .032 wall thickness and 2 1/2" 12 gauge chambers. It has a LOP of 14" and a DAH of 2 7/8", weighs 8 lb 2 oz and this amazing drilling comes in a well made case to keep this hard to find combination shotgun/rifle gun protected.
