Description:
Very nice Mauser (S/42) K98 built in 1936. This is a good example of a pre-war Mauser. All Waffenamt stamps are intact and the rifle retains most of its original finish. The rifle is mostly matching, including the bolt. Some parts have been swapped from other rifles, likely during the war. Like the title states, this rifle includes bring back paperwork from a local soldier who fought in the war. The papers are dated 1945, and the rifle also comes with a bayonet. 23.6" barrel with a fairly shiny bore and good rifling. It looks as if it wasn't shot much. This would make a very good addition with some history behind it to anybody's collection. Serial number 7640
