This is the Winchester Model 1903 semi-automatic rifle manufactured in 1903 that was later proofed in London bearing the provisional barrel and view mark proofs. The first year rifle remains in excellent condition with the barrel having about 85-90% blue with scattered use marks and the receiver having a mixture of mottled blue and gray with a later applied finish. The stock is solid and in excellent condition and the forearm shows an old repair to a crack that ran with the grain along the left side. A nice example of a first year gun that has travelled far and would make an excellent candidate for full restoration. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
