Sometimes you have a fantastic gun that is not rare and sometimes a rare gun that is not fantastic. This is certainly combining the two. We have here a very uncommon S&W 29-5 full lug unfluted cylinder 44 mag with the 5" barrel made exclusively for "Hill Country Distributors". This is 1 of only 500 ever made. Product code 101249. At first glance it looks like a 29-5 Classic Series but they all have the laser engraved lettering. This exclusive run is the only 29 full lug 5" revolver with "Rolled" lettering. The gun is nearly perfect showing almost zero signs of use. The mechanics are outstanding with perfect timing and lockup each hole along with no cylinder end shake. It has had a very easy life. No box or paperwork with this one. The last picture is of a box from the same run that is only 4 numbers away from my serial number with the Hill Country product code. I'm providing this as additional information linking this revolver to the run. Thanks.
