Description:
Offered is a complete Utica-made Sterlingworth, 16 gauge, extractor gun. I obtained this gun for a personal project that, I have finally accepted, will never come to pass. The barrels are 28" and the bores and chambers are factory-mint (that means actually mint, not what some people consider to be "mint"). The barrels are choked modified(.014") and full (.030"). Barrel walls are >.050" at their mid-point. As is typical for a small-frame Fox, the factory barrel weight stamps are illegible. Anyone who knows me will know that I would never even contemplate a project if the bores were not in perfect original condition. They will also know that I will not start with a "rat" gun.
The gun is 100% complete, down to the last screw and pin, and all numbers match. The case-hardened parts have been properly annealed, so it's ready for your gunsmith to do whatever shaping you might like for your custom, or upgrade, Fox project. Alternatively, it would make for the easiest factory restoration ever, since the entire gun is in excellent condition. Star your project with a good base, instead of junk.
