Description:
Priced right to sell.  Great handling 16 gauge Arrieta sidelock ejector from one of Spain’s great gunmakers with 29” chopper lump barrels and handsome case colored action body and sidelocks. Auto ejectors, automatic safety, disc set strikers, cocking indicators, and 5-pin sidelock. In my opinion 16 gauge is the most lethal upland boring available. Ideal for grouse, quail, woodcock and doves. This one was made in 2005 and has not seen much use. Very good mechanical and cosmetic condition. Weighs 6lb 6oz making it a pleasure to carry for a day afield.
The 29” chopper lump barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells. They are topped by a raised solid concave tapered rib with a silver front bead. The right barrel is bored 0.662 with a constriction of 0.004 for Improved Cylinder choke. The left barrel is bored 0.0661 and has a constriction of 0.012 for Modified choke. The bluing is rich and deep in color but does have a few minor handling marks from normal usage.

The straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made of nicely figured European walnut and ends in a checkered butt. The checkering on the stock, forearm, and butt is crisp. Stock dimensions are 14-5/8” over a checkered butt by 1-3/8” by 2”. Cast off for the right hand shot.

There is a reason the 16 gauge is known as the queen of the uplands. It packs a lethal 1oz load that with its short shot string hits all at once, is great handling, and is easy to carry and negotiate brushy cover with. Hard to find with its 29” barrels. Don’t let it get away!

NOTE: The photographs are part of the description. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection which begins when the firearm arrives at the FFL. Returns at buyer’s expense.
