Offered here for sale and newly acquired is this fine classic Remington Model 700 bolt rifle in .22-250 caliber. The Remington 700 is one of the most well-known and widely used bolt-action rifles, known for its accuracy, versatility, and strong reputation in both hunting and tactical applications.
The .22-250 Remington is a fast, flat-shooting, varmint and predator hunting caliber. It is known for its impressive accuracy and velocity, making it popular among hunters for and has a very fine composite all-weather stock. Serial number S6509924, this specimen is all original. Most impressive is its stainless steel fluted barrel which is more resistant to corrosion and weather. The fluted barrel is designed to reduce weight while maintaining strength and stiffness. The fluting also helps to dissipate heat more efficiently, which can be helpful for extended shooting sessions. It has a crowned. This feature ensures that the bullet exits the barrel consistently and without distortion, which is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of the rifle. A well-crowned muzzle can improve the rifle’s accuracy, especially at long distances, by preventing any uneven gas release that could destabilize the bullet.
