Description: Here we have a US issued Springfield 1884 Trapdoor chambered in 45/70. This rifle features a 32.75" barrel, a socket bayonet, walnut stock and an improved Buffington rear sight. Stamped 1890 on the stock, this gun is in great shape! The breechblock is stamped model 1873 but the rest of the rifle shows markings and signs of being a model 1884. The stock has a few imperfections but is in 90% +/- condition. The metal and barrel have some wear marks but are in 90% +/- condition. The bore is in great shape (90% + condition). Overall, this rifle is in 90% + condition. There were only 200,000 of these rifles produced! If you have any questions, please call us before purchasing.
