This High Standard Double Nine W-101 series revolver has a chrome finish that, while still reflective and eye-catching, does show marks of use. Most of the noticeable scratches and wear patterns are evident on the frame where the ejector has rubbed the frame while the cylinder is open. These can be seen in the pictures. There is also a gouge in the backstrap that can be seen in the pictures. Though there are other minor wear marks along the barrel, cylinder, and frame, there are no places where the finish is gone or flaking. The wood grip panels have the High Standard logo on both sides. The grips show some signs of handling but remain structurally sound. The revolver functions smoothly, with a crisp trigger pull and reliable cylinder rotation. The double action functions as expected, and the single action is clean and crisp. Faint scuff marks and slight discoloration in high-contact areas further attest to its history of use, giving it a well-earned character while maintaining its mechanical integrity.
