Description:
A single barreled Top Lever Hammer Gun made in 1894 by W. Richards, 44 Fishergate, Preston, England. Serial number 8780.
12ga and 3in. chamber with FULL choked 32 1/4in nitro reproved blackend damascus barrel with a solid matt top rib.
The rib is lifting slightly in the middle. Makers name W. Richards is engraved on breach end and the action.
Rebounding bar action lock, border and partial acanthus scroll engraving, 13 1/2in. pistolgrip stock with pistolgrip cap, Hackett-type snap-on fore-end with horn finial, weight 6lb. 13oz.
Housed in a later fitted wooden box with cleaning supplies.
