Stunning early Dual tone "Shorty 40" was built by the S&W Performance Center to be distributed by Camfour in the year 2000. Though several other "Shorty 40" models were previously made, this was the first 2 tone variant, mating a stainless 2 tone blackened slide to an aluminum frame. Early and often copied features include a slide with front & rear serrations to enhance gripping, a drift adjustable front sight and a Novak rear sight, a system with three white dot highlighting. Ambidextrous decocker only (not a safety). Bobbed and lightened hammer. Bbl. stabilized with a hand fit Briley Bushing. Checkered frontstrap & mag. release. Black checkered wrap around plastic grips, each panel marked with the S&W name/logo. Frame is marked on left side "SHORTY 40 2000" followed by the SN & has the S&W Performance Center logo on the right side. Beveled mag well. Complete with factory 9 round magazines, safety lock, factory literature, aluminum Performance Center case, and original, matching, Performance Center shipping sleeve.
