Description:
This is a WWII U.S. issued Cattaraugus 225Q Commando fighting knife, blade 6"., 10 1/2" overall, bowie/utility style blade with leather washer handle. The bright blade is in very good to near excellent condition with light speckling, lightly sharpened blade and marked on the ricasso " Cattaraugus 225Q" The leather stacked washer handle shows nice patina and manual grooving, as normal, to improve grip. The three washer pommel has light oxidation with a waffled end. The correct leather scabbard is in excellent original condition with nice patina, tight stitching and rivets. This came to us in a 1917 dated tan canvas wire cutter pouch with M1910 belt hook, maker marked on the reverse Long 12017. ;
