The Walther P38 was originally designed to replace the P-08 in WW1 and WW2 for Germany to streamline production for a less complex sidearm. But do to the pre-existing infrastructure for the P-08, it remained the main-issued sidearm for the German military in both wars. This particular model is a reproduction from around the 70s. 9mm Luger
