Marlin Model 336RC, Texan model with straight grip, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger with gold finish, 20" round barrel with ramped front sight and hood, tubular full magazine, open sights, blued finish, white line spacer intact between butt plate and butt stock, trademark "Bullseye" intact in toe line of butt stock, JM-marked barrel, caliber 30-30 Winchester, serial number T8620, made early 1960.
CONDTION: Barrel and mag tube retain 95% original bright blue with some nicks and scratches, receiver has spotty pinprick loss, exhibiting 80% original blue. Stocks are sound, tight and proud, with expected nicks and dings, no splits or cracks, Microgroove barrel is mint and should shoot fine. Action is smooth and the half cock safety works as designed. JM marked hammer extension is installed, so I presume this had a scope on it at one time. These Texan carbines are very desirable and this one is no exception; will make a great addition to your collection and will be a great shooter/hunter while gaining value over time.
