********** Updated 4/13/2025 ********** Rifle was test-fired this morning, feeds, fires and ejects perfectly, has a nice trigger pull, not stiff.
Marlin Golden 39A, cal. 22 short/long/long rifle, serial number 699305, made 1969, 24" round barrel, full magazine, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, Marlin logo butt plate, plain pistol grip with grip cap, butt stock retains original white line spacers and trademark "Bullseye" in toe line, gold trigger, gold fill to model designation on barrel, hooded/ramped front sight, rear sight removed and blank added to accomodate Bushnell 3-9x32 scope, factory sling swivels, blued finish.
CONDITION: all blued parts retain 95% bright original blue with expected wear to the hammer and a small spot of cleaned oxidation just forward of the loading port on the underside of the mag tube. Mag tube and inner feed tube both are tight with no wobble. Action is butter-smooth and has a properly-working half cock safety. Mint bore. Barrel is JM-marked, as is the hammer extension. Scope has clear optics and perfect reticles. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks, exhibiting typical nicks and scratches from 50+ years of use. Take down feature also is tight with no wobble. Will make a fun plinker as well as being a collector's item that will gain value over time.
