Description:
This is an excellent example of a WWII Colt. It has the elusive WB inspector markings and dates to 1942. I have been studying 1911s for the last couple of years and the barrel wear patterns appear to match suggesting this is the original barrel The barrel is the Colt 45 auto marked small g version and this is at the tail end of use for that barrel when they switched to the large G version. There is some muzzle wear but overall, this is a great pistol and it will be hard to find a nicer one. The serial number on the slide and frame match and the pistol is all original finish.
