Description:
Vz is an abbreviation of the Czech (as well as Slovak) term "vzor" meaning model. The VZOR 70 was developed especially for police in former Czechoslovakia in Strakonice by Kratochvil brothers. In 1970, the CZ 70 replaced the CZ 50 and became the standard sidearm of Czechoslovak armed forces and police until 1983. The design of CZ 70 was based on the Walther PP pistol using a fixed barrel and 8-round magazine capacity. Chambered in 7.65mm (.32 Auto) caliber). 7.65MM (.32 ACP)
