Description:
I'm selling my collection. Here is an Antique Massive Engraved only single action Lefaucheux, chambered in the largest 12mm Military PinFire caliber, with a 5.1/2" Round Ribbed Barrel with good bore with good rifling, clean chambers, 6 round cylinder with a good timing, unusual design rarely seen features : like the ribbed barrel with rear V notched rear sight and a small brass front sight, a closed up cylinder shield and a full plain trigger. Good checkered wood grips with its lanyard ring. I believe it was an Army prototype (in the late 1860's) after the success of the French Lefaucheux Model 1854 Pin-Fire system during the Civil War as a side arm. FFL is not required for the transfer. The original finish was left in the white rates good with tiny surface rust here and there, single action works well, it indexes well. The original pin-fire bullets showed on the pictures are not for sale. Some of those Pin-Fire revolvers were converted with success to center fire caliber. All visible on the pictures. I described it to the best of my knowledge. Please don't ask for extra pictures. The US Civil War opened a good market to sell to both sides. Those modern PinFire revolvers were very were popular in 3 different calibers: 7mm, 9mm & 12mm. all the German, Belgium, Spain (This one is a Belgian made in "Liège" LEG in an oval on the cylinder) manufactured those revolvers under the French Lefaucheux license.
