This guns is one of about 100 known original 1967 “Flatside” unetched T/C Contenders///. Serial Number of 1497.
100% Original… repeat “original” not one of the many “Factory New” flat sides you've seen on Gun and other sites lately.
Which, on the authority of several well-known Experts are simply “reblued” T/C frames sent to BlackRock Bluing Co. in Wyoming for their $85 dollar dip in their hot bluing tanks… Don't be fooled! The rebluing treatment is virtually undetectable except by experts. You are NOT getting a "Factory Mint" unfired Flatside. There is probably only one of these in existence and it was Warren Centers Gun, now in the T/C Museum….
This “1497” Flatside has the original (and rare) 10" .22LR barrel with the extra .44 Mag. Choke Tube barrel and is in an original factory Presentation Case.
