We offer free Shipping for orders over $500. Description: This is an original WWII Japanese Type 96/99 Machine Gun Scope with Case 2.5 X 13 power. The LMG was developed in the 1930's, the Type 96 was Japan's standard issue light machine gun at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and would continue to be used alongside the 7.7mm Type 99 Machine Gun through the end of the war. This example is in excellent original condition, serial No. 11782, equipped with a right-offset "periscope" lens to see around the magazine, marked NIKKO, 2.5 X 13 also marked on the side of the rail mount "3008" with excellent finish showing light use and fully functional. The optics are clear and vivid with a pliable eye cup. The leather case is in excellent condition with tight stitching and nice patina, it is marked on the inside of the cover with 4 Imperial stamping, still has all the original felt. Has the original strap and tie down. Beautiful craftsmanship throughout. SOLD |
