This is a pre-owned Colt M 1911 U.S. Army whose serial number puts it in the range for Ithaca. The slide is marked "COLT S PT. F A MFG CO." over "HARTFORD CT. U. S. A." and carries the last patent date of Aug. 19 1913. The right side of the frame is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", the serial number, the model, "ANAD", "2", "76" and has two "RIA" stamps. The left side of the frame has "P" and a faint "FJA" stamps. .45 ACP
