Description:
".60 caliber 36.5"" octagonal to round barrel percussion altered Chief's Grade Board of Ordnance trade gun by Sutherlands circa 1813. Metal is a dark brown patina with scattered oxidation visible along the length of barrel. Lock plate is marked Sutherland with broad arrow visible. Pitting is noted at the drum bolster, German silver Indian Chief motif is present at wrist. Action functions and holds at full cock but is weak. Wood is good with normal dings, scratches and mars present. This gun was supplied to assist the British Native allies during the War of 1812. (Dallas Location)
