Made in 1885 and supported by the included factory letter, serial 50179 has a 28-inch barrel (.825-inch muzzle diameter, blade front sight, elevator rear sight marked “1876”, full-length magazine tube). Features include color case hammer/trigger/lever and a crescent butt with trap. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 10.0 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.0 inches. CONDITION: The bore is bright with but minor traces of roughness and some faint browning. Rifling is sharp. The dust skirt runs tight along the full length of its track. Action operation is positive and solid, suggesting limited use. Metal and wood finishes are each approximately 70 percent. Colors are bright at approximately 60 percent.
