This is a good looking rifle that has an overall plum-brown patina on the barrel, receiver, and Buffington rear sight. The lock has a dark brown, mottled patina with some pitting and oxidation present. The walnut stock has numerous small handling marks and blemishes scattered about the dark, added military oil finish, and there is a legible "SWP / 1885" cartouche on the left side of the wrist. A mottled gray ramrod is included, and there are some areas of mild pinprick pitting on the sides of the barrel bands. This is a good looking Trapdoor, and is in about very good condition overall.
