Hello friends,
In my ongoing effort to downsize my collection of Marlins I am listing a Marlin 39A in 22 LR. It was built in 1953. Apparently it is the only year that Marlin built a straight stock 39 with a 24" barrel. Serial number starts with "K".
It is in good shape. The action is smooth and tight. The bore is good. The blung is thin in some spots. It looks like a previous owner may have sanded and re-finished the rear buttstock. The wood is slightly lower than the tang in spots. The buttplate does not quite fit either.
It shoots great with CCI minimags, the only ammo I have tried in it.
Because of the condition I am looking for $600 for it. But I am open to reasonable offers. I can take money orders, personal checks and some forms of e-payments.
