Description:
The luger pistol has been in military service since its original design completion in 1898 by Georg Luger, until 1949 and was made in multiple nations, in a variety of configurations. This example is of a Model 1914 Artillery which was created for rear echelon troops during World War 1, although it became favored by aircraft crews and assault infantry for its compact size and high rate of fire. Overall condition is fair, there are a number of areas across the outside surface with shallow pitting and it appears to have been reblued, likely by caustic salts. Internally this pistol seems to be in perfect working order and the bore is quite good, with only the first half inch sharing in the corrosion of the exterior. It must be noted that all numbered parts are matching except for the magazine. The supplied magazine as stated is non original and the wooden base is cracked at the pin.
