MODEL 64 STANDARD RIFLE, .30-30 CAL., #1751XXX, MADE 1951. A fine example of probably the best .30-30 lever rifle Winchester ever made. This one retains about all the blue on the barrel, mag tube and forend cap. It has the original buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and blade/bead front sight on the correct ramp. The receiver also retains most of the blue with just some edge wear mainly on the bottom front of the receiver and around the serial number on the bottom. Wood is excellent with tight wood to metal fit and retains the original checkered steel shotgun butt plate. Tight action, strong safety half-cock and bright exc. bore. These are really great and fun shooters- cheap and easy to reload or buy inexpensive ammo almost always available at stores like Walmart. Made of blued steel and walnut during the great Post World War II boom!
