Log #6283 The Remington Nylon 66 Seneca Green is a rare and highly collectible variation of the iconic semi-automatic .22 caliber Nylon 66 rifle, with pre-1964 models being especially sought after. Introduced as part of Remington’s bold venture into synthetic firearm design, the Seneca Green version featured a striking olive-green Zytel nylon stock paired with a blued steel barrel and receiver cover. Like all Nylon 66 models, it used a 14-round tubular magazine housed in the buttstock and operated with a reliable blowback action, making it both lightweight and exceptionally dependable. Only a limited number of Seneca Green rifles were produced, primarily for sale in the northeastern U.S., adding to their rarity and collector appeal. The pre-64 Seneca Green stands out not only for its performance and durability but also for its unique color and place in firearms history as part of Remington‚‚s innovative approach to materials and manufacturing during the mid-20th century
