Description:
Perazzi MX8 w/Nickel Receiver, 12 ga. with true 32" barrels. This gun came from Perazzi with fixed Mod/Mod chokes, later sent to Briley to have the barrels threaded for chokes. Briley installed their "thin-wall" chokes and includes the following constrictions: .005" (x2), .010" (x1). .015" (x2), .020" (x1), .025" (x1) and .030" (x1)...8 chokes total. The barrels are stamped "18.8" which is a .740" bore. The barrrel has a tapered, 11-7mm "Tramline" rib, white bead at the muzzle and small mid-barrel bead. Barrel weight is stamped at 1.54kg but on my scale measures 1.50kg. The overall gun weight is 8 3/4#.
The trigger in this gun is the "flat spring" type with a gold trigger shoe and barrel selector. The trigger has been set back by Lucio Sosta which makes it a bit more friendly for the average shooter. The metal retains its deep blue with very little wear...truly in 98% condition!
The right handed stock has a nice pistol grip with a RH palm swell, cast and toe out. The butt stock has a Monte Carlo cheek piece creating a parallel comb. The English Walnut stock is very nicely figured with a 14 3/8" LOP, DAC is 1.5". Included are two additional fitted Kick-Eez recoil pads to extend the LOP to 14 1/2" and approx. 14 5/8". The wood, forend and butt stock are pristene with no scratches or dents perceptible.
Also included is a trigger parts kit that include two (2) springs, two (2) firing pins and the tools needed to remove/replace if necessary. A stock wrench, snap caps and owners manual is also in the origianl Perazzi hard case, the locks have yet to be set so you'll set the combination.
This shotgun has seen little use as evident by its overall condition. You won't find many "used" guns in this blemish free condition, you won't be disappointed when you see this one in your hands!
