Offered here for sale and just acquired is this fine vintage Smith & Wesson Model 642-2 revolver. With serial number DKS2404 it was likely manufactured around 2008.
The Model 642-2 is a stainless steel, double-action-only revolver built on Smith & Wesson's J-frame. It features a fully enclosed hammer, making it ideal for concealed carry. The revolver is chambered in .38 Special +P and is rated for +P ammunition. The 1-7/8" barrel is standard for this model, providing a balance between concealability and shootability.
The factory-installed laser grip is a notable feature, enhancing aiming precision. The revolver's stainless finish offers durability and resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for everyday carry and use in various environments. This specimen appears to have been used very little perhaps less than a box of rounds and was oiled and put away for years. Some oil residue remains which we will clean before shipping. Just a few storage marks.
