Description:
Winchester Model 94 Eastern Carbine (no saddle ring), 20" round barrel with pinned blade front sight, plain trigger, blued finish, nickel steel barrel. Serial number 917110 places manufacture in late 1922. Complete action and barrel assembly only, no other parts included. Completion/restoration is in your capable hands.
CONDITION: Receiver has lost its blue and what color remains is dark staining. Barrel has some fine aged original blue mixed with some bright cold blue that was added after some pitting was cleaned off. Bore is excellent, a 9 of 10, sharp rifling, bright and shiny, just a smidgen of frost forming. Action is crisp and tight with a properly working half cock safety. Looks like at some point someone converted it to a 2/3 mag carbine as there is an extra small groove in the bottom of the barrel where the pitting is (from a barrel band), but it does not go all the way through into the bore and will not affect accuracy or function. Will make a fine shooter/hunter upon inspection by a competent gunsmith.
