All FN 509 pistols feature an enhanced grip texturing scheme, where parts of the grip are textured to be grittier where needed and smoother where excessive texture can become abrasive. The grip portion of the polymer frame can be adjusted to fit the user‚‚s hand perfectly with 2 interchangeable backstraps. The striker-fired, DAO trigger pull on the 509 semi-automatic pistol is short and smooth, and the trigger reset is positive. Several safety features incorporated into the trigger prevent the pistol from firing unless the trigger is pulled all the way to the rear and the slide is all the way forward. The 509 has no magazine safety. The magazine release and slide release are easy to reach and fully ambidextrous. Includes 2 magazines
