The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Comp 5" is a high-performance, double-stack 9mm pistol that blends classic 1911 design with modern enhancements for serious shooters. Built around a forged steel slide and frame with a black Cerakote finish, this full-size pistol delivers exceptional durability and precision.
Chambered in 9mm and equipped with a match-grade 5-inch bull barrel, the Prodigy Comp is fitted with an integral, single-port compensator that helps reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil. This allows for faster follow-up shots and flatter shooting performance, making it ideal for competition or defensive applications.
The Prodigy DS features the Agency Optic System (AOS), an optics-ready platform that supports today’s most popular red dot footprints. It comes standard with a fiber optic front sight and blacked-out rear sight, positioned behind the compensator for an uninterrupted sight picture.
The double-stack polymer grip module offers 20+1 round capacity, with aggressive texturing for confident control. It includes an extended ambidextrous safety, skeletonized trigger, and full-length guide rod for smooth cycling.
