Here we have a custom classic stalking rifle built off what appears to be military Mauser action and barrel in 7x57mm or .275 Rigby. The wood and the metal are in outstanding condition with fine checkering and rosewood fore end. The only blemish is on one of the floorplate screws. The barrel is 23 inches in length and the LOP is 13 & 1/4" in length. It has the classic express sights similar to the London best rifles and resembles their stalking rifles closely. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. This would make an excellent choice as a youth or ladies rifle due to the smaller size and low recoil of this historical cartridge.
