Description:
Up for sale is a Remington 760 Gamemaster, pump-action rifle in .35 Remington. The date code is “BZZ” which identifies this rifle as having been made in January, 1953, the second year of production. It is in remarkable shape for a used hunting rifle and the action is butter-smooth. It comes one with magazine, holding 4 rounds, marked “.35-Rem.”
The bluing looks almost new with just a bit of silver showing on the sharp corners. The stock is equally pristine with a couple of tiny, almost invisible nicks, probably from safe-wear. The butt-plate is metal and marked “Remington.” The bore is bright.
I use a macro-lens to try to get as much clarity in my photos as possible. If you are a serious buyer, I will be happy to take additional photos at your request.
A Nichols 4x32 scope is mounted with Weaver rings. From Internet Research, Nichols was an employee of Simmons, who brought out his own line of inexpensive scopes to compete with his old employer. He imported them from Japan. I have no idea how old the scope is. I doubt that it is valuable.
