Marlin Model 336 A rifle, serial #U28202, 30-30 Win, 24” Micro-Groove barrel with a bright, as-new bore and factory 2/3 magazine tube. The metal surfaces retain 97-98% original blue, showing very light high edge wear, and the trigger retains 98% gold finish showing very light wear. The smooth capped pistolgrip Monte Carlo walnut stock rates about excellent, with only a couple of light marks, the same applies to the fore arm; the white-line gripcap and Marlin white-line buttplate show minimal wear and are excellent. It is sighted with a U-notch sporting rear leaf and square-hooded post front sight and appears to function well mechanically. The receiver top is factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting. Factory sling swivels are fitted on the butt stock and fore end cap. A nice 1961-vintage 336A in a desirable chambering and a Marlin collector's prize in this condition.
