"Serial No. SP51133, manufactured in late 1975, 5.56 caliber, 24" round barrel. Rifle remains in 95%+ condition with light handling wear present. Left side is marked with standard Colt factory markings along with “25144," the inventory number assigned by the Texas Department of Public Safety at the time of purchase. Included is the original property inventory card and a notarized letter from Texas Ranger Lt. Robert Madeira of Company A, documenting the rifle’s history. Initially issued to the Ranger SWAT Team in 1975, it was later assigned to Lt. Madeira from 1986 until 1996, when he transitioned to a Ruger platform. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A well-preserved Texas Ranger firearm.
