Crescent firearms was founded in 1888 as a maker of fine quality, but affordable firearms, mostly shotguns. The Quail Hammerless was one of the models which was made in smallbore offerings for recoil sensitive sooters or small game hunting. This example is in good condition, but shows signs of age with its finish wear and handling marks in the wood.
