Excellent, honest Pre-64 1955 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade chambered in the venerable .300 H&H Magnum. Rifle is in very fine condition, with bluing wear only on the muzzle, bolt knob, floorplate and buttplate. The bore is very nice and bolt is matching numbers. Barrel has correct date for this era of gun. The gun has been lightly hunted with, but very well maintained, as shown in the stock most of all, with very pronounced yet lightly smoothed checkering present, and very little wear to speak of other than the most minor of impressions. It really was well taken care of. There is one unfortunate small piece of wood missing near the front takedown screw as shown in the picture. A skilled carpenter could seamlessly repair this. If you can live with that and appreciate this fine Super Grade rifle for what it is, then I think this rifle is for you. 26" barrel
