The Remington Nylon 76, also known as the \"Trail Rider,\" holds the distinction of being the only lever-action rifle ever produced by Remington Arms. Introduced in 1962 to capitalize on the popularity of Western culture, it was built using the same durable, lightweight Zytel nylon polymer stock as the famous Nylon 66. It was marketed as the \"world‚s fastest lever-action\" due to its incredibly short 30-degree lever throw, which allowed for rapid firing. Despite its innovative design, the rifle saw a relatively short production run, ending in 1965 with roughly 27,000 units manufactured. Today, it is a highly sought-after collector‚s item,majority were produced in the standard \"Mohawk Brown\".
