Description:
This is an iconic Browning Auto-5, 12 Gauge, that has a 30” solid rib barrel with a 2 3/4” chamber that is choked full. It has beautifully figured wood, round knob pistol grip stock with the original horn butt plate. It was made in Belgium in 1929, which was the last year for the Ogden barrel address. The length of pull is 14-3/8”. The serial number is 131642 and the serial number is on the frame, the barrel ring and the forend, indicating that it is an all original gun. It is in reasonably high condition for a gun that's 96 years old, minus the 3 tiny screws on the receiver. The wood may have an older refinish on the stock with some scattered light scratches and marks. The bore is bright and shiny and the rust blueing is 98% with very little wear. There is no frosting on the top tang, which is where the wear usually shows up first. Shoots wonderfully.
