Custom Dakota Model 97 Hunter .338 Remington Ultra Magnum. Serial H0386 has a 25-inch barrel (recessed crown, .680-inch muzzle diameter), matte finish, full-length claw extractor for true controlled-round feeding and extraction, three-position safety, cloverleaf tang, recessed bolt release and a premium synthetic stock (pebble finish, Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, sling swivel studs, skeletonized magazine box, bedded action). DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.8 inches. CONDITION: The bore is outstanding - strong and bright. Metal finish is over 90 percent and stock finish is approximately 97 percent. EXTRA BARRELS: The attached barrel as well as a .26 Nosler barrel (25 inches, recessed crown, strong bore) are Bartlein blanks fitted by Matt Stewart. A .257 Weatherby Magnum barrel (25 inches, recessed crown, strong bore) as well as a .340 Weatherby Magnum barrel (24 inches, recessed crown, bright bore with trace throat erosion) are Lilja blanks fitted by Stan Ware.
