This is the Highway Patrolman Model 28-2 double action manufactured by Smith & Wesson circa 1968. The large N frame revolver features a non-serrated rib an a 1/8" Baughman Quick Draw front sight and click-adjustable micrometer rear sight marked on the barrel ".357/CTG HIGHWAY/PATROLMAN". In excellent condition the barrel, frame and cylinder retain virtually all, 97-98% of the original blue finish with on a slight drag line on the cylinder. The semi-target hammer and serrated trigger show vibrant case-hardened colors. The Magna style walnut grips with S&W medallion rate excellent with some minor use blemishes on the bottom. Mechanically it functions properly with a tight lock up and a very smooth double action trigger pull. A very high condition example of the classic late 1960's S&W revolver.
