Description:
Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle 38-40 cal Bore VG nice bore with some fine pitting near muzzle, Mech VG, Works well, Wood is original VG no cracks, chips or repairs. Has a 24” Octagonal barrel with excellent Winchester address markings , cal markings and original front sight and rear sight is a buckhorn type replacement. The receiver has an original dust cover and marked model 1873 on the top tang with the lower tang having the serial# 326,401 mfg’d 1890. Has the original buttplate with compartment and the brass carrier has an excellent 38 cal marking. Metal overall has an aged grey patina finish with traces of fine pitting near muzzle . A very clean unabused rifle.
